New Fall Shows Continued

Now that we got through all the potential sitcoms let's move on to the dramas


Scandal
Network: ABC
Starring: Kerry Washington, Columbus Short, Henry Ian Cusick
Premiere: TBA
Plot: This political drama focus on Olivia Pope, former media relations consultant to the President, as she starts her own firm
Appeal:  This shows has serious intrigues and looks like there are a few hidden secrets. Kerry Washington looks badass in the lead role and it's created by Shonda Rhimes, Grey's Anatomy creator, enough said.

Hart Of Dixie
Network: CW
Starring:  Rachel Bilson, Scott Porter, Jaime King
Premiere: September 26, 2011, 9pm
Plot: Recent medical graduate Zoe Hart moves to Alabama after she inherits a practice. She must learn to adjust to her rural setting and appreciate the little moments in life.
Appeal: It looks like a cute little medical drama, with breath-taking settings and a lot of hart-pun intended. Rachel Bilson looks gorgeous and marks her return to television and her return to working with The O.C. creator Josh Schwartz. I wonder if any of the other O.C. actoris will be making a cameo, you know Misha Barton needs the work.

Ringer
Network: CW
Starring: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nestor Carbonell, Ioan Gruffund
Premiere: September 13, 2011
Plot:  In this psychological thriller twin sisters Bridgit and Siobhan are trying to mend their estranged relationship, but after Siobhan goes missing Bridgit must take over her life and learns everything isn't as it seems.
Appeal: This is Sarah Michelle Gellar's return television after her long stint playing Buffy Summers. This looks like an intrguing mystery thriller that'll keep viewers on the edge. Should be a good watch.

Once Upon a Time
Network: ABC
Starring: Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Joshua Dallas
Premiere: October 23, 2011, 8pm
Plot: A young woman is drawn to a small town cleverly named StoryBrooke, where she meets several fairytale characters come to life and trapped in the modern world.
Appeal: I'm a sucker for a good modern retelling of a fairytale so this show has some appeal to me and it looks like there can be some interesting plot twist provided by the writers of lost so you know you'll be mind-fucked. Who doesn't love a good fairytale?

Revenge
Network: ABC
Starring: Emily VanCamp, Madelaine Stowe, Gabriel Mann
Premiere: September 21, 2011, 10pm
Plot: This story loosly based on the novel the Count of Monte Cristo is about a young woman (VanCamp, Brothers and Sisters) who retuens to the Hamptons and seeks revenge on those who have wronged her in the past
Appeal: This actually looks like the most appealing show this fall. it mixes my love of wealthy people, juicy scandals and crazy bitches. It's like a Gossip Girl meets Desperate Housewives. like they say hell hath no furry like a woman scorn.

New Fall Shows

Got the back-to-school blues? well you're not alone. And although I can't do anything about the dreadful return to that hell they call school, I do know one thing that will cheer you sinners up: the new fall TV shows. Yup it's that time a year again, where TV executives try to pimp out new TV shows trying to garner as many viewers as possible. And as a self-proclaimed TV-aholic I've taken it upon myself to weed out the craptastic shows that will barely last one season before disappearing to TV heaven- or hell- and the ones that have the potential to make it into my weekly TV schedule. So grab the alcoholic beverage of your choice and relax as I take you through the most interesting programs gracing your TV this fall.

2 Broke Girls
Network: CBS/CityTV (Canada)
Starring: Kat Dennings, Beth Behrs
Premiere: September 19, 2011 9:30pm
Plot: Basically like the totally obvious title says this sitcom is about 2 broke, and totally opposite, girls living in New York City working as waitresses in a grimy diner trying to make ends meet.
Appeal: This show looks like it'll be good for a few laughs. It's running on the same track as Bridesmaids; with the whole comedic women, and hopefully it's just as successful. And Kat Dennings, from Nick and Nora's infinite Playlist fame, seems comical. It's the perfect combination of cute and funny. Plus it's created by the producers of Sex and the City, which can't hurt-unless you count Sex and the City 2.

New Girl
Network: Fox, CityTV
Starring: Zooey Deschanel, Damon Wayans Jr, Max Greenfield.
Premiere: September 20, 2011, 9pm
Plot: After a sudden break-up Jessica Day (Deschanel) decides to move in with three guys who try and help her through her difficult and awkward life.
Appeal: Again this show looks like it'll provide some good laughs on those boring Tuesday nights. It's like a perfect little romantic comedy. Plus how could you resist Zooey Deschanel acting abosolutly adorable? and there's a Dirty Dancing reference, that's it I'm sold.

Suburgatory:
Network: ABC, CityTV
Starring: Jane Levy, Carly Chaiken, Cheryl Hines
Premiere: September 28, 2011 8:30pm
Plot: A single father moves his teenage daughter from Manhatten where she learns about suburban life.
Appeal: This shows looks second rate, but it's got bitchy teenagers and plastic parents and looks like a crappier Mean Girls, so that's good enough for me.
