Hunger Games Preview to Air during VMA

In other Hunger Games news it appears that the official trailer for the upcoming movie will air during the broadcast of the MTV Video Music Awards this Sunday.

Oscar nominee and star Jennifer Lawerence will appear live to release the trailer. How exciting mockingjays. I honeslty can't wait. Although I have work on Sunday I will definatly catch the show and give a full review on monday. Start counting down the days sinners.

The Hunger Games Filled my Appetite

So I've finally got through a huge chunk of my summer reading list, which primarily consisted of The Hunger Games trilogy, and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was suspeseful, dramaful, and badass. I honestly couldn't put it down. So for your pleasure sinners, I'm giving my indepth journalistic review of the entire series, and don't worry I wont give away and spoilers- I'm not that bitchy.

So the first novel written by Suzanne Collins is set in a futuristic and some-what apocolyptic world in which North America is divided into 12 districts. Every year each district must sacrafice a male and female aged 12-18 to compete in the Hunger Games- a sadistic reality show type competition where the competitors must kill each other in order to be crowned winner. The novel features protagonist Katniss Everdeen's account of the Games after she is chosen to represent her district.
The first novel was beyond words. The begining, as with any novel was a little slow, only because it was trying to introduce the characters, and futuristic setting. Once the Games actually begin the novel becomes engrossing. Collins has the ability to feature a cliffhanger at the end of each chapter forcing the reader to turn the page and continue reading. I'm not going to say who wins the Games but use your brain, if there's 3 books it's a little obvious who wins, wink wink. The ending of the novel is a little weak, in that it leaves the reader wanting more. Nonetheless it was a great read, you'll fall in love with the awesomeness that is Katniss and her amazing archery skills.

The second book Catching Fire picks up where the second left off. Without giving away major spoilers I'll just say that things get more intense as Katniss' actions not only affect her but the whole nation of Panem. Again the book has a slow beginning, but just like the first one quickly picks up. There is an
ah-mozing twist ending that will leave jaws dropped and minds effed. This may be my favorite book in the series as it introduces new characters, tests friendship, and blows minds.

The final novel in the series, Mockinjay, was lackluster to say the least. Half the novel nothing important and really interesting happens while the other half is just anti-climatic. Like any final installment in a series this novel proves to be the most drastic as Panem is in full out hysteria. It just didn't live up to the other novels. I was just expecting more, especially regarding the climax of the novel. The book wasn't horrible. There are definatly moments when you'll cry, I know I teared up at one point. Overall I thought the novel was okay. Collins did a decent job ending the series that will leave any mockingjay happy.

Despite the under-whelming Mockingjay, I still love the series. It has everything you want in a teen series. It has action packed and often gruesome killings, touching emotionally elements, creative and scary futuristic gadgets and creations, a dramatic love triangle (Team Peeta all the way) and a interesting viewpoint on the good and evil found within humans. But most of all it has Katniss Everdeen. Finally there is a ass kicking heroine that anyone could idolize. She's so much better than that twat Bella Swan. Katniss has the abilty to be a ruthless killer but somehow retain her morals and humaness. And although at times she may get annoying when deciding her feelings for Gale and Peeta, you still can't help but love her.

Take the fantasy elements from Harry Potter, the love triangle from Twilight, and add deathening murders and corrupt governments and you get a series that anyone, regardless of age will enjoy. So got out now and read the series especially before the movie comes out, you don't want to be one of those losers who only reads the book because of the movie.

P.S. does anyone know where you can get one of those mockingjay pins, because you know once the movie comes out everyone will be rocking that shiz.

Sweet Tunes Tuesday

So I'm starting a new thing here called Sweet Tunes Tuesday. Basically every Tuesday I'm going to post a song that I just can't get out of my head. This week goes to Disney Queen and current Justin Bieber lover Selena Gomez and the Scene and her hit Love You Like a Love Song. Honestly I'm going to admit Selena Gomez is pretty good musically and this song is on fire right now. Also Selena's band Selena Gomez and the Scene are currently in Toronto for her sold-out concert. If anyone's going send me the deets, I'm curious to know how she is live. So congrats Selena for being the first hEVANly artist to be featured on Sweet Tunes Tuesday. I love you like a love song, most specifically this love song.

London Tipton is Preggers??

UPDATE: Brenda Song is not pregnant in fact Trace and her have ended their relationship

The Twitterverse is in frenzy as rumours run wild of Brenda Song, famous for her role as London Tipton of Disney Channel's Suite Life on Deck, being impregnated with Trace Cyrus', Miley Cyrus' brother and former member of the band Metro Station, child.

No comment has been made from either party denying or confirming the claim so this may just be another twitter rumour. This is the second time rumours of Brenda Song being pregnant have surfaced. Back in 2009 false rumours spread that Brenda Song was pregnant with then boyfriend Joe Jonas. Man what is going on over there at Disney?

We're calling bullshit on this, for now at least. The idea of a Brenda and Trace love child is promising though. Can't you imagine their little tattooed baby. It's like looking at the future of Disney.

Speaking of the future of the Disney Channel, I'm sending my good wishes-which I rarely do- to Hilary Duff as she announced her pregnancy with her first child with husband Mike Comrie. Congrats Hilary I can't wait to see little Lizzie McGuire, but this better not put a damper on your comeback plans. I need some Duff in my life.

Glee Spin-Off: Done Before it Even Started

Dear Sinners, remember a while back when I posted about Chris Colfer, Lea Michelle, and Cory Monteith's departure from McKinley High this season, if not just scroll down I'm sure it's still there. Well, their characters' "graduation" from Glee left many gleeks in a frenzy, but also held the prospect of a spin-off- which filled fans with a giddy sensation that only Rachel Berry in colourful knee-high socks could create.

Well, sorry fellow gleeks cause it turns out our spin-off dreams are dunzo. In a dramaful turn of events, it seems that Ryan Murphy, co-creator of Glee, was actually planning on a spin-off focusing on the three main characters. But after Colfer gave an interview insisting he was fired from the show, and even worse that he found out through Twitter, Murphy axed the spin-off plans.

Murphy insited that all three actors knew about their characters' graduation, and even knew about the spin-off. He said in an interview "None of them were fired. It was never about that. We were going to do a spin-off where the three of them were going to go on. They all knew what was happening, they all had approved it, they all said they wanted to do it."

So after Colfer's comments Murphy and his team ended the spin-off plans saying Colfer's comments "[weren't] exactly cool."

I guess hell hath no fury like TV show creator scorn. How awkward must the Glee set be right now.

In my opinion, maybe this isn't a horrible thing. Yes, it isn't really fair to punish Lea Michelle and Cory Monteith for Chris Colfer's comments, and btw I'd love to hear is side of the story. And the idea of a Glee spin-off does seem amazing, but perhaps it'll be too much Glee. Let's get real wouldn't it be annoying to have a carbon copy of Glee?

What's your thoughts? are you devastated by the cancelled spin-off? Do you really even care?

Will and Jada Dunzo?!

In WTF news In Touch Weekly is reporting that Will Smith and Jada Pinket-Smith are ending their marriage. Well now I guess Willow Smith really has a reason to whip her hair back in forth.

The couple, who have been married for 13 years and have two children together, young singer Willow Smith and Karate Kid star Jayden Smith, are undeniably Hollywood's "It" couple.

I'm calling bullshit on this. Although representatives from both actors have not yet released an official statement friends and family close to the couple have denied the claims. Come on, if Will and Jada can't survive, is there really hope for the rest of us?

The Bitch Is Back

Dear Sinners,
As you probably know I haven't posted in a while, and I must apologize. I know the horror of my absentee influence in your lives must have been dreadful, but fear not I'm back. Yes, that's right. I am now devoting all my free time to corrupting minds, divulging secrets, and spreading my awesomeness. The internets baddest bitch is back, so everyone better watch their back.

Stay Sinful,

XOXO
